Experienced Breeders

The owner, Ann believes it’s her obligation to protect all her puppies, as well as aiding in the process of raising a new family member. The litters are created by her expert selection of Dams and Sires, whom go through extensive testing to be chosen for breeding. Taking into consideration the various combinations of genetics, bone structure, intelligence, temperament and disposition. Having witnessed many genetic defects that could have been avoided with the proper testing prior to breeding. She strives for excellence in creating what she considers perfect puppies, achieving impressive results. As an obedience/therapy/service trainer and an AKC evaluator, she ensures her puppies will be given every opportunity to excel with their new families!

The latter are fearless, agile, very clever, inherently loyal, and happiest when they spend their time with their owner, never leaving their side. They yearn for companionship and thrive in a family environment.

They become attached to children and other pets quickly and they take excellent care of puppies, injured animals, and vulnerable people. They make excellent guide dogs, military service dogs, and search and rescue dogs.

English cream golden retrievers are smart, beautiful, and friendly. They are excellent family/working dogs due to their heavy bone structure. They have less genetic defects, longer life span, and make awesome companions.

AMERICAN VS ENGLISH GOLDEN RETRIEVER

There is a lot of controversy in regards to American vs. English Golden Retriever so this information is according to Golden Retriever Weekly. I do not agree with all the information included I just wanted to make that extremely clear!

The major difference between the American Golden Retriever vs English Golden is that the latter is lighter in color, stockier and heavier than their American cousin. The head of the English Golden Retriever is also broader.

The thickness and length of the coat also vary. American Golden Retrievers have a thicker and longer coat compared to their English counterparts. English Golden Retrievers have shorter and wavier coats.

Structure

There are some physical differences between the English Golden Retriever and American Golden Retriever. For instance, the head of the former is larger and more balanced than that of the American Golden. On the other hand, the American Golden’s head is more broad-skulled and arched

Health and Life Expectancy

American Golden Retrievers are more likely to suffer from cancer. The cancer rate for these canines is over 60 percent, while for English Golden Retrievers, it is about 38.8 percent.

The life expectancy of American Golden Retrievers is 10 to 11 years while that of their English cousin is 12 years.

Temperament

English Golden Retrievers are known for their calm temperament and disposition. Not all English Goldens are calm, and not all American Goldens are hyper. However, there is a clear difference on average.

English Golden Retrievers are mostly calmer than their American counterparts. They are rarely high energy or hyper. On the other hand, most American Golden Retrievers are very athletic and have plenty of energy.

English Golden Retrievers are easier to train, calmer, and more mature than American Goldens.
